Frequently Asked Questions
Can I hire you hourly?
Each project's scope and goals are outlined in the Client Service Agreement we tailor for each and every client. When we bid a project, we provide an estimate for the number of hours it will take us to complete the project scope. So, yes, you can and should hire us hourly — it’s how we do our best work.
What if I want to incorporate pieces I already have into the new design?
You absolutely can! In fact, our Refresh Your Room service is specific to those who want to use their existing furnishings. Perhaps you just purchased a new sofa, but are struggling with pulling your space together? If, so, this is the perfect service for you. We also do our best to incorporate the pieces of your choice when working together in a Full Service capacity.
What if I would like to use my own tradespeople?
We don't often recommend that you use your own trade partners as we have already established a dependable and skilled trade team, but that doesn't mean we don't allow it. Our main goal is to achieve the desired outcome with as few obstacles as possible. If we can accomplish that with your preferred trade partners, we are happy to discuss doing so.
I’m not sure which design package is right for me. How can I find out?

How long does a Full Service design project usually take?
This is the question of the century. Let's just say, even if we are in a hurry, it doesn't necessarily mean everyone else is. We do our best to move each project along at an optimum speed, but it is not uncommon to find ourselves in a holding pattern while we wait for all the pieces to come together. Although we may not be able to predict how long your project will take, we do promise to keep you updated every step of the way.
What if I don’t know my budget?

But my partner and I have completely different design styles. What can we do?
Not only is this totally normal, but it is within the scope of what we do. Finding that happy medium between you and your partner's preferred design styles is our jam and we promise to do everything within our power to make sure both of you are satisfied with the final design. We can’t promise you won’t have to compromise, but we promise to help you identify where doing so makes sense given your project goals and unique design vision.
What if I don’t like the Color Palette you chose for me?
Don't sweat! That's what revisions are for. Each and every design project has a set amount of revisions which are outlined in the Client Service Agreement. When and if they are exhausted, we can discuss how to proceed in a way that ensures you are completely satisfied.
Can I shop around to see if I can get a better deal on the products and materials you source?
Source, source, source - it's what we do. This means we’d love to know if you can get a better deal because that means our future clients can too! We only ask that you remain transparent in your quest and promise not to purchase any unexpected pieces without discussing with us first. It’s likely we have a reason we use certain vendors or trade partners that you are unaware of, and we believe an honest discussion is always the best way to mitigate any confusion.
What is required to start?
Our Refresh Your Room package requires full payment upon the signing of the service agreement. On the other hand, our Visionary Full Service Design package requires a 50% deposit of the estimated design fee, to start.
During a Full Service design project do you hire and pay the subcontractors and tradespeople or do I?
We do not hire trade partners, but we do connect you with them! We have found that the process is much more streamlined when our clients pay all third parties separately, according to the terms of their contracts, even when using our preferred trade partners. It's just easier this way!
